Writing a Thank You note or letter is one of the best ways you can show someone that you appreciate them, whether it's about the person directly or a gift they have given you. A Thank You note can even be for something as simple as thanking a company for seeing you at an interview - even if you don't get the job (it's a great way to show your maturity and will keep you in the company's mind for future positions).
However, writing a great Thank You note or letter isn't easy - there are many ways that you can say the wrong thing and ruin the note completely. Therefore, knowing what you should and shouldn't write in a Thank You note or letter is very beneficial.
My business partner Samantha Cummings wrote a great post on "How to Write a Great Thank You Letter" - it's the perfect list of tips for all the information you need when it comes to writing a Thank You letter or note.
Once you have learned the Do's and Don'ts of writing a Thank You letter, you can practice writing one until you feel confident enough to send one to an actual person. This will help ensure that you send the best possible letter or note all the time.
Just like anything, writing a Thank You letter or note will get better over time and with practice. As long as you use the tips in Samantha's post, and add your own personality to the Thank You letter in question, you shouldn't go far wrong.
